This station is in quite a rural location, about forty miles to the north of Leeds towards Lancaster in north Yorkshire. The facility is the primary transport hub for the small village of Giggleswick and offers infrequent services on the Aierdale Railway Line that connects several small Yorkshire communities in this area with each other and major towns.
