Newton Abbot is a town in Devon that is served by this medium sized railway station. The facility is located close to the centre of the town and is opposite an industrial area where the South West Railway works sheds are. Trains run to the station as part of the First Great Western Mainline, which provides regular services out of Devon towards the capital.
