Camborne Station is in the centre of the large Cornish town of the same name. The area around the station once constituted the richest mining area in the county and still shows signs of the industrial past of the area. The area is famed for being the site of the first steam powered road locomotive’s (the forerunner of the motorcar) first journey up Camborne Hill.
