Bodmin Parkway serves the nearby Cornish town of Bodmin. The station is located close to Bodmin Moor that is one of the largest open moor lands in the south west of England. Legend has it that a large animal known as ‘the beast of Bodmin’ roams on the moor and there have been several sightings of this animal in recent times.
