Axminster Station is in a small market town on the eastern border of Devon in the southwest of England. Axminster gave its name to a type of carpet that was originally made in the town but is now manufactured all over the world. The town has a rich history hat dates back nearly two thousand years and its name is taken from the nearby River Ax by which a grand church once stood.
