Sanquhar Station is located in the beautiful rolling hills of the Dumfries area of southern Scotland and serves as the primary rail access point for the people of the town of the same name as well as a great deal of rural surrounding villages. Services run to the station on the Glasgow South Western railway Line and connect the community with the major southern Scottish cities.
