Alton Station serves the small market town of Alton in Hampshire close to Farnham. The area has a rich socal and political history and was involved in many of the seminal battles of the Middle Ages. The town’s artistic history is one of its proudest assets. There are a great deal of museums and art facilties in the town that are well patronised by locals and tourists. Some of these include the Jane Austen Museum, The Alton Maltings Centre, The Holybourne Theatre and the Palace Cinema to name but a few.
