Pencoed Station is situated in the very middle of the town of Pencoed, which is equidistant between Cardiff and Swansea in South Wales. The town is thought to have its roots in a Norman Castle that once stood on the site, but the modern town was constructed around the coal industry. The trains that run to the station are part of the Maesteg Railway Line.
