Barry Station serves Barry in South Wales in the Vale of Glamorgan. The area is famous for its Butlins Holiday Camp and has been a popular tourist resort for nearly a century. The station is close to the dock area where a great many industrial firms of south Wales have their base. The station is relatively close to Cardiff, the capital of Wales and a city that people of the town naturally gravitate towards for work and leisure.
