Located on the Valley Line network in South Wales, Bargoed Station serves a small town in the welsh valleys. The station straddles the border between the traditional counties of Glamorgan and Monmouthshire on the banks of the River Rhymney. The area immediately around the station is largely residential, but once one leaves the town you are treated to wonderful views of the rolling hills of south Wales.
