Not to be confused with the Greater Manchester area of Salford, this station is responsible for the basic rail transport needs of the village of Salfords in the Surrey countryside. As part of the Brighton Main Line the station enjoys hourly services into the capital at London Bridge and towards Horsham to the south of the village.
