Interestingly this station was simply called Preston Station when it first opened but there was quite rightly a great deal of confusion cause with the same named station in Preston, Lancashire, hence it was renamed Preston Park. It serves the northern suburbs of the East Sussex town of Brighton and is on the Brighton Mainline which connects with London and Gatwick Airport.
