Battle Station is located on the Hastings line in East Sussex and is situated in on one of the most famous military sites in the world. Just yards away from the station the Battle of Hastings took place in 1066, thus giving its name to the whole town that is built on the site around five miles from Hastings. William the Conqueror came to the English shores from Normandy and defeated King Harold in 1066 and nearby there are several museums and commemorations of this amazing and significant event in English history.
