This station is the terminus of the Tees Valley Railway Line and serves the town of Bishop Auckland in County Durham. The town itself stands equidistant between Durham and Darlington on the River Wear in the beautiful green countryside of the north east of England. Close to the centrally located station are some magnificent ancient buildings such as the town hall and the marketplace.
