Battersby Station is a small interchange in rural north Yorkshire on the Esk Valley Railway Line. The station is quite unique in Britain due to its layout of track. Because the busier East Coast Mainline once served the station, some sections of track are no longer usable, making it such that all trains that have to visit the station have to reverse into the platforms. It is thought to be the only station of its type in the country.
