Located in the Tees Valley in the north east of England, Allens West is a small station close to Stockton on Tees and is the centre of village life in Allens West. Traditionally Stockton is in the ceremonial county of Durham but the area has grown a great deal in recent times and begun to leak into Yorkshire. It is traditionally a working class area driven by heavy industry but in recent decades has begun to embrace newer cleaner industries. The area is now part of a larger unitary authority.
