South of the city of Manchester between Hanford and Alderley Edge in Cheshire, Wilmslow Station serves the Wilmslow suburb of Macclesfield. Once the suburb was a separate village but it has been swallowed up by its larger neighbour in the last century. The station operates a good frequency of trains on a selection of railway lines including services to Crewe and the West Coast Mainline.
