Stanlow and Thornton Station is a small facility in the Cheshire countryside that is located close to the Stanlow Shell oil refinery. The primary purpose of the facility is to serve the workers of the plant and the people in the immediate vicinity. The train station is part of the Merseyrail Network Northern Line.
