This railway station serves the two villages of Ramsgreave and Wilpshire situated just to the north of Blackburn. In effect they area both today suburbs of Blackburn. The station is in the Wilpshire suburb and is served by the Ribble Valley railway Line which offers regular services to Blackburn, Clitheroe and Manchester.
