Poynton Station is the main railway access point for the town of Poynton in Cheshire and the many surrounding village and rural communities of the area. Situated about seven miles from Macclesfield and five miles from Stockport, the station enjoys relatively regular services as part of the Stafford to Manchester Railway Line.
