The Port Sunlight area of the Wirral is known as ‘the model village’ having been built as a place for the workers at the nearby Lever Brothers factory to work. The station is therefore mainly used for people of this residential community to access the centre of Liverpool and other suburbs of Merseyside. Trains run on the Wirral Line.
