Milnrow is a suburb of the metropolitan district of Rochdale, a part of Greater Manchester in the north west of England. The area that the station serves is made up of a primarily residential community, many of whom commute daily into the centre of Rochdale and Manchester. The services run regularly on the Manchester to Rochdale via Oldham Line.
