The Ribble Valley Railway Line that links the two major northern industrial towns of Blackburn and Bolton serves this station. The station lies close to the centre of the primarily commuter town of Bromley Cross at the heart of Lancashire. The majority of residents work outside the town and the station is very well used at peak times.
