This station serves the Broadgreen suburb of the city of Liverpool in the northwest of England. It is surrounded by primarily residential areas although there are some small shopping streets. The station is on the railway line between Liverpool city centre and Wigan and is used by a great deal of commuters to gain access to both large cities.
