Blackburn Station serves the enormous industrial town of Blackburn in the north west of England. Once used as a station to serve one of the busiest mining and industrial centres in the north of England, today Blackburn is a very different place. The town has a huge multi-cultural population bringing influences from across the world and a great deal of the heavy industry has been closed to be replaced by lighter less dirty tasks and commerce. Blackburn Rovers Football Club is nearby.
