This station is located on the Wirral on Merseyside, a part of the Borderlands Line that links Wrexham in north Wales with Liverpool and Manchester. The area surrounding the station is largely an upper to middle class village. There is a small amount of commerce available to visitors, but largely people travel to the larger towns and cities for most of their daily needs.
