Ainsdale Station is in the small village of the same name just a few miles from the larger town of Southport on Merseyside in northwest England. The origins of the village appear to be Scandinavian and the suburb is referred to in the Domesday Book as Einulvesdel. The area around the station is largely residential and the majority of locals use Southport as a hub for shopping and amenities. The Merseyside area is famous for its musical heritage.
