Aigburth Station serves a suburb of the metropolitan city of Liverpool in the northwest of England. The area close to the station is primarily resdential and has its focus around the main road, Aighburth Road. Traditionally the area was part of the hunting grounds of King John and the name in fact means ‘place of oaks’. The local cricket club is used by Lancashire Cricket Club as a festival ground during the summer months. Other local attractions include Sudley House and Stanlawe Grange.
