Aderdovey Station is in a seaside village on the estuary of the River Dyfi in North Wales. The village was founded on a shipbuilding industry that has long since fallen into decline and now is primarily a seaside tourist resort. The station is on the beach front which has a yacht club and pier. The village also has beautiful cultured gardens and is a popular tourist spot with English holidaymakers, especially those from Birmingham about 100 miles away.
