Watford isn’t actually in Greater London although the tube network serves it. The town is located in the Three Rivers district of Hertfordshire over twenty miles from the centre of the capital. The town is populated by commuters and is also the focus of affairs for many of the rural communities that surround it. The town has a famous football club that was once partly owned by Sir Elton John. The area has a good deal of shopping and entertainment facilities including theatres, leisure centres and cinemas.
