On the southern banks of the River Thames, Waterloo is one of the largest railway, Underground and road transport interchanges in the capital. Immortalised by the Kinks song Waterloo Sunset, the station is close to some of the capitals most popular visitor attractions. Royal Festival Hall is one of the best concert halls in the world and is a short walk from Waterloo, as is the impressive Imax theatre. The views from the ‘South Bank’ are breathtaking and can be enjoyed from the countless bars and restaurants that line the river along to the Millennium Bridge, the Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe theatre.
