Walthamstow Central is the northern terminus of the Victoria Line, located in northeast London. The area is on the border with metropolitan Essex and relatively close to the Borough of Epping Forest. The suburb was immortalised by nineties pop band East 17 who named themselves after the postcode of Walthamstow, where they were from. One of the biggest attractions in Walthamstow is the dog track, known as Walthamstow Stadium. Considered by many to be the home of dog racing, the stadium featured in the artwork to Britpop band Blur’s album Parklife.
