Located in east London, Upney Underground Station is served by the District Line. The area straddles the border between Greater London and metropolitan Essex and is dominated by mainly residential housing and a few small shopping streets. Since the Second World War Upney has become multi-cultural and ethnically diverse lending a cosmopolitan charm to the suburb. It offers easy access to road links out of the capital.
