Ruislip is an area of northwest London in the London Borough of Hillingdon. This station is on the Central Line in Travelcard zone 4 and serves the southern portion of the district. During the Second World War the area attracted a small but influential Polish community that still remain. In more recent times this largely residential part of the capital has become popular with young professionals and families.
