This railway station is situated about three quarters of a mile down the hill from Swiss Cottage tube station and serves the southern areas of Hampstead, a beautiful leafy suburb of the London Borough of Camden. The station is quite a way from Hampstead Village and Hampstead Heath which are probably the most famous areas of the district.
