Ruislip Manor is one of three stations serving the suburb of Ruislip in northwest London, part of the Borough of Hillingdon. The station is named after the old manor house that the community was built around, long before it was swallowed up into the urban sprawl of Greater London. Nearby is Ruislip Lido, park and gardens which has a fully operational 12" gauge steam train operating within its grounds. The town itself has a great deal of ancient architecture remaining.
