Located on the Amersham Branch of the Metropolitan Line, Rickmansworth is a small town in the Three Rivers district of Hertfordshire. It is one of the furthest flung of the stations on the London Underground network in Travelcard zone 7. The town lies on the Grand Union Canal and began to grow in size during the 1920s and 30s. Today it is mainly residential and forms part of the London commuter belt.
