Pontoon Dock is one of the newest additions to the London Underground network and the Docklands Light Railway, constructed in March 2006. The area immediately surrounding the station is relatively undeveloped by Docklands standards. Therefore the residential area has great views of the London Docks, the high-rise business district and the River Thames.
