Pimlico is an exclusive residential area of London just north of the River Thames in the London Borough of Westminster. Prominent English architect Thomas Cubbit, a statue of who is close to the station, designed great deals of the magnificent townhouses in the area. The area has been home to many famous Londoners including wartime Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill. The suburb was immortalised in the Ealing Comedy; Passport to Pimlico.
