Northwood is a suburb of the capital in the London Borough of Hillingdon. The station is on the Metropolitan Line in Travelcard zone 6. The area is most famous for Northwood Headquarters, the headquarters of the British armed forces overseas campaign command and control centre. The majority of the area is residential but there are several shopping streets and numerous pubs and restaurants around the town centre.
