North Woolwich Station is an interesting oddity as it is actually on the north bank of the River Thames unlike the majority of the suburb which is on the south side. The station is close to the northern terminal of the Woolwich Ferry which is a free shuttle service which connects the North Circular Road with the South Circular Road in south east London.
