Monument Underground Station
King William Street, LONDON EC4R 9AA - England, UK

Map
The Great Fire of London ravaged the centre of London in 1666 destroying almost everything in its way. The Monument was erected to commemorate this terrible disaster and to act as a warning for those in the future. Monument Station is close to this monument and the Bank of England on Threadneedle Street that has an excellent visitors centre. The station shares platforms with Bank Station although they retain separate identities.
