The Mile End Road is one of the longest roads in the capital, running from the City of London out to the far reaches of the east end. The road is famous for its eclectic ethnic mix of residents bringing a little of their own cultures to fuse into a melting pot of modern London. Near to the station is Victoria Park and Mile End Park, both popular havens of greenery in the busy city. Queen Mary’s College a part of the University of London is also based on the mile End Road.
