The Mansion House is the official residence of the Lord Mayor of London. It is the venue for the annual ‘Mansion House Speech’ made by the Chancellor of the Exchequer. The station is located at the heart of the City of London but interestingly isn’t the closest Underground interchange to Mansion House itself, in fact Bank station on the Northern and Central Lines is closer.
