Liverpool Street is the largest station in the City of London, acting as a major interchange between road, rail and the Underground. Merchant banks and financiers largely occupy the area immediately around the station. Nearby is Tower 42, formerly known as Nat West Tower and one of the tallest buildings in Britain. A short walk to the east of the station will take you to Brick Lane, famous for its Indian cuisine and art galleries.
