In the beautiful leafy suburb of Richmond, Kew Gardens is one of the largest and certainly one of the best kept botanical gardens in the world. Inside the gardens visitors are treated to around three hundred acres of wonderfully landscaped parkland, formal gardens and hot houses. Many of the Victorian greenhouses contain rare plants that are in endanger of becoming extinct. The area around the gardens is also very pretty and close to the river Thames.
