This station was effectively built to service the needs of the nearby Olympia Exhibition Centre. Originally known as the National Agricultural Hall the huge exhibition space was opened in the nineteenth century. Together with its sister site The Earls Court Exhibition Centre this facility makes up half of the Earls Court Olympia Exhibition Complex. It plays host to some of the largest music concerts, trade shows and consumer exhibitions in the capital.
