Kennigton is an area of the London Borough of Lambeth in south London. The station is on the Northern Line. The area is most famous for the Kennington Oval that is a large cricket ground that is home to Surrey County Cricket Ground and traditionally the venue for the last England test match in test series. The other major attraction of the area is the nearby Victorian designed Kennington Park that contains many well-preserved pieces of architecture from the era.
