This station is located on the Isle of Dogs, just north of the river Thames. Served by the modern hi-tech Dockland Light Railway the station is in Travelcard zone 2. ‘The Island Gardens’ are a notable park in east London that affords spectacular views across the river on a clear day. Some of the sights tourists might see are the Royal Maritime Museum, Greenwich Hospital and Greenwich Park. Nearby to the station is the northern entrance to the Greenwich Foot-tunnel beneath the Thames.
