Hillingdon is a London borough in the west of the capital. The station is situated on both the Metropolitan and District Lines in Travelcard zone 6. The area is a fast growing and lively part of London. It is primarily residential but has a good selection of shopping streets, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The station itself is located close to a major junction of the A40 trunk road and is therefore an excellent place to change from the Underground to road transport.
